Once you set a date, you think you have plenty of time to plan the wedding, especially if it is more than a year away. We started casually thinking about it during November / beginning of December, but it became a quick reality when we realized that we would be down in Florida for the holidays and didn’t know when we’d be back again. To really have Florida as an informed option in addition to Washington, DC, Michigan, and Chicago, we needed to capitalize on the timing and start our search.
